Handicap Policy
To ensure fair and competitive play for all members, Carrigallen Golf Society will manage the handicap system for all society outings.
Golf Ireland Members: Your initial handicap will be obtained from Golf Ireland and used as your starting society handicap. Your handicap will then be managed and adjusted by the Society based on your performances throughout the season.
Casual / Non-Club Members: Players without an official Golf Ireland handicap will be allocated an initial society handicap by the Committee. This handicap will be reviewed and adjusted after each outing based on performance to ensure fair competition.
The Society will maintain the official society handicap records and apply any necessary adjustments throughout the season.
